- Jeans destroyed white patent leather Gucci bag.. can I get it re-dyed?
So I have a very expensive white patent leather Gucci bag. I wore it out once or twice with jeans, and the Gucci patent leather absorbed the denim dye from my jeans! I have now learned that this is a common problem among white Gucci bag owners, so buyers beware... The bag is essentially ruined as there is dark blue dye across the back and front handle of it. I have sent it to Gucci Repairs (who sent it back to me and said it's happened before and they're sorry?) and Bag Borrow & Steal's repair shop (who also sent it back to me saying that they can't fix it). At this point I'm just trying to salvage the bag and make it somehow wearable so I don't have to toss out over 1k worth of evening bag in the trash. Can I get the bag dyed? Either dye it white again, or possibly a different color like black? A Sorry to hear of your problem Please do not try to dye this yourself as this could further damage the bag which may make it unrepairable. If you are in the UK you can send your bag to LTT who are leather restoration experts and who restore handbags of this quality and may be able to remove the dye transfer for you. Send some photos first for an assessment. The problem is that the pattern imprinted on the leather will be lost if the leather is restored or recoloured. There are cleaners for dye transfer removal from damage like this but as it has now been on for some time they are unlikely to fix the problem. Pale coloured leathers should always be protected with a good quality leather protector like Ultra Protect so that this sort of problem does not happen - pity the handbag manufacturers will not advise this at point of sale.

- How to remove ballpen mark from Gucci handbag?
Mine is a white one in the Gucci Joy collection. I believe the fabric is called "gg fabric" (not canvas nor leather). It has a small blue ball pen mark on it. Does anyone know how I could remove the mark? I tried using alcohol, sponge, detergent but the mark is still there. Please help!
